Why mobile phone insurance / iPhone insurance is worth considering
Mobile Phones and iPhones are often free when you sign up to a monthly contract because they are heavily subsidised by the network. These phones are often worth £400, £500 or even £600 (The top of the range iPhone 4 is worth £599* for example).
If your mobile phone is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair then you have 2 choices, either buy a new phone (at the unsubsidised price) or pay off the contract and start again with a new phone and a new contract. Let's say you signed up to an 18 month contract at £30 a month and you lost your phone 3 months later, to pay off the contract would cost 15 x £30 = £450!
